Archie F. Cash Jr.

Archie F. Cash Jr. 80 Joplin, Missouri. went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, September 23, 2026. He was born January 26, 1946 in Corvallis, Oregon, son of the late Archie Cash Sr. and Goldie M. (Speer) Cash. Archie was a lifetime resident of Joplin. He graduated from Parkwood High School. He proudly served in the United States Army, Sargent First Calvary. He fought in Vietnam from 1967-1968. He received a Combat Infantry Badge, 2 Bronze Stars, Bronze Star with Valor, 3 Purple Hearts, and Air Metal. Archie worked for ICI Powder Plant and later for the civilian sector for Unisys in Joplin at the old Vickers Plant for ground water clean up. Archie was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. He enjoyed traveling with his wife Theresa. They traveled to several destinations around the world. Archie enjoyed motorcycles, playing pool, and spending time with his many grandchildren, Survivors include his wife Theresa (Knapps) Cash whom he married June 23, 1984 in Hammond, LA. Although he never had children of his own when he married Theresa he became stepfather to her three children whom he loved as his own. Vonda (Dudley) Downing, Hammond, LA, Stephanie England, Joplin, MO, and Walt (Courtney) Penalber, Springfield, LA. One sister Cheta Murphy, his many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchild. A celebration of Life will be Saturday September 26, 2026 from 2-4 followed by Military Honors at Fellowship Baptist Church 2827 E 32nd Street Joplin MO. Services under the care and direction of Ozark Memorial Park Crematory.
