Randolph S. Irwin

Randolph Stewart Irwin, 78, of Grove, Oklahoma died September 13, 2026, at his home with loved ones by his side.

He was born December 20, 1947, in Boulder, Colorado to Robert (Bob) and Kathleen “Kitty” (Stewart) Irwin.  He grew up in Oklahoma and Kansas, graduating from Pryor Oklahoma High School in 1965. He attended the University of Oklahoma and Pittsburg State University.  Randy worked at Day & Zimmermann (Kansas Army Ammunition Plant) for over 45 years, retiring June 13, 2013.

Randy played softball, golf, tennis, was an avid reader, and enjoyed a Jeopardy challenge.  He was a #1 fan of the OU Sooners. He enjoyed spending time with family and sitting on the back deck playing catch with his best bud Roux.  His description of lake life was peace and relaxation; a glimpse of heaven on earth.

On March 27, 2006, he and Ruth Westhoff were married at Fort Walton Beach Florida; she survives of the home.  Also surviving are: his three (3) sons, Pat (Deb) of Joplin, Missouri, Billy (Shannon) of Van Buren, Arkansas, and Doug (Brittany) Irwin of Webb City, Missouri; eight (8) grandchildren, MacKenzie (Brock) Hughes, Drew Irwin, Dr. Cole Irwin, Kadyn Irwin, Chase Irwin, Landon Zaldivar, Lyrik (Gus) Guemmer, Jace Miller; two (2) great-grandchildren Llewyn and Alice Guemmer; and his best bud Roux!  He is also survived by his younger brother Bill (Bay) Irwin of Dumfries Virginia, niece Wallis (Dan) Laurion and great-nephew & niece Archer and Lilly Laurion.  He was loved deeply by his family and will be greatly missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Bob & Kitty Irwin; In-laws, John & Lorraine Westhoff; brothers-in-law, Ron Westhoff, Bill Westhoff and Ert Sowers;  niece, Jacinta Schibi and nephews, Carter Robert and Taylor Irwin.
