Ronnie “Mick” Evans passed into the arms of Jesus on June 23, 2026, at the National HealthCare facility in Joplin, Missouri. Born February 20, 1941, Mick was the son of Eddie and Eliza Evans. On November 29, 1959, Mick married his high school sweetheart, Ruth Penrose. They enjoyed 54 years of ministry and 66 years together before God took Mick home.
Mick was a Missouri native. He attended Community College in Neosho, Missouri, and Calvary Bible College in Kansas City, Missouri. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies from Antioch Baptist College Seminary in Marietta, Georgia.

Mick and Ruth also served as missionaries with New Tribes Mission from 1983 to 1996. They served in NTM’s training institutes for several years and then served in the Philippines as overseas missionaries.
Most notably, Mick’s life was marked with a devotion to service for His Lord and shepherding the flock. He loved Bible study, reading, and spending time with his family.
