Vivian Lorene (DeLapp) Foster

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother, Vivian “Granny” Foster, 82, of Quapaw, Oklahoma. Vivian passed peacefully from this life into the arms of Jesus on August 21, 2026, at her home, surrounded by her loved ones.

She was born January 12, 1944, to Jessie Ray and Ruby (Stallion) DeLapp.

Throughout her life, Vivian wore many hats. She was a homemaker, the owner of a bait shop, and the owner of a local restaurant, 69A Cafe. But above all, her family was the greatest joy of her life.

Vivian was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Betty Dry and Louise Lake; and her son-in-law, Danny Tavis.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Henry Foster Sr.; her sister, Judy Inkelaar and husband David; and her children: Henry Foster Jr. and wife Tara, April Tavis, Sandi Steele and husband John, and Randy Foster and wife Krista.

She leaves behind her grandchildren: Parks Foster and wife Jennifer, Kyle Steele, Justin Tavis and wife Rachel, Amanda Garner and husband John, Nicole Tavis, Corey Steele, Jared Foster, Emily Steele, Blake Foster, and Whitley Foster; one step-grandchild Robert Tavis and family; 10 great-grandchildren, one great-grandchild on the way, and one great-great-grandchild.

She is also survived by several nieces whom she adored, a special person who was like a daughter, Ginger Snider, and her beloved dog, Cutie Pie.

Vivian will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten. Although her passing leaves an emptiness that can never truly be filled, her love will continue to live on through her children, grandchildren, family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at United in Christ Church in Quapaw, Oklahoma.

Arrangements are under the direction of Ozark Memorial Park of Joplin, MO
