Calvin C. Pruitt, 62, passed away on September 8, 2026. Born on April 1, 1964, Calvin grew up in Joplin, Missouri, where he spent his early years surrounded by family.

Calvin worked in auto body repair and as a mechanic, a trade that showed his love of working with his hands and all things automotive. When he wasn’t working, Calvin enjoyed spending time outdoors fishing and hunting. He also had a love for motorcycles and was an avid fan of NASCAR racing and demolition derby racing.

Calvin was preceded in death by his father, James W. Pruitt, who passed away in 1987, and his mother, Pansy R. Pruitt, who passed away in 1998.

He is survived by his four sisters, April Parker of Missouri, Cheryl Pruitt-Fletcher of Nevada, Carolyn Suggs of Arkansas, and Peggy Foulk of Arkansas.

Calvin also leaves behind his children, Brandon, Kara, Tessie, Elizabeth, Rebecca, and Roy; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a large extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many others who knew and loved him.

Calvin will be remembered for the life he lived, the things he loved, and the many memories he created with those around him. His memory will continue through his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sisters, and extended family.

Cremation arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Ozark Memorial Park Crematory of Joplin, Missouri.
