Judy Rae Vigil, 77, passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2026 in Erie, Kansas. She was born on January 19, 1949, to Richard and Dola (Mullendore) Mullen.

She spent her early years in Sedan, Kansas, and later moved with her father to California, where he worked at Ford Motor Company in Long Beach. She moved to Nevada, Missouri, with her father and siblings in 1964. Judy went to Nevada High School starting that year as a sophomore and graduated in 1967. In 1968, her father married Peggy, who became a loving mother to her.

After graduating, Judy lived in both California and Kansas over the years, raising her family and making her home in Sedan and, later, Caney, Kansas.

She loved to garden and plant flowers, go antiquing, collect rocks, spend time with friends and family, and watch movies, especially Westerns. She also enjoyed decorating for every season and holiday.

She is survived by her children, Amy Kline, Jamie Vigil Robinson and husband Brett, Spencer Vigil and wife Sarah, and Tyler Vigil; 15 grandchildren; and her siblings, Michael Jones, Richard “Rick” Mullen and wife Kathy, Robin (Mullen) Mischnick, and Tana Trost.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Dola Mullen; Peggy Pilcher; her sisters, Janice Jo and Jackie Fae, who died when Judy was very young; her husbands, Jack McIntosh and Steven Vigil; her son, Matthew McIntosh; and her grandson, Samuel McIntosh.

A celebration of life service will be held on Tuesday, November 10, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada, MO. Family and friends are welcome to join us and share a favorite story or memory.
