David Pancake
David Pancake lived life to the fullest, finding joy in racing cars, tinkering with things, and always keeping busy with something to work on. A skilled metal fabricator, David worked at Eagle Picher, where he put his talents and hands-on abilities to use.
David was a man who enjoyed the simple pleasures of life and doing the things he loved. His adventurous spirit, love of working with his hands, and passion for racing cars were an important part of who he was.
David is survived by his four children: Karen Pancake of Georgia, Chad Pancake of Joplin, Sheily Coppenbarger of Joplin and and Aaron Pancake also of Joplin. He is survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will carry his memory forward.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Vickie Pancake, whom he cherished deeply. Now, David has gone to be reunited with the love of his life, and they are together again.
A celebration of Life will be held October 14, at 2:00p.m., at the VFW, located at 110 East Veteran’s Way, Joplin, Missouri. Family and friends are invited to gather to honor David’s life, share memories, and celebrate the man who lived life on his own terms. Though he will be deeply missed , David’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Ozark Memorial Park Crematory.
