Kenneth (Kenny) Darnell Helms

Kenneth (Kenny) Darnell Helms, of Pittsburg, passed away at his home on September 29, 2026. He was born in Kansas City, Missouri, on October 31, 1975, to Floyd Edward Helms and Odessa Marie Whetzel Helms, who preceded him in death.

Kenneth was a member of The Door Church in Pittsburg. He faithfully served in the United States Army for four years, including time stationed in Korea.

He is survived by his brothers, Randy Helms (Rebecca Helms) of Pittsburg, David Helms, and Steven Long of Wichita. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Kevin Helms, Robert Helms, and Dewayne Helms.

Kenneth was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by his 11 nieces and nephews, as well as his many great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his niece, Dianna Marie Helms; his nephew, Thomas Leroy Helms; and his great-nephew, Krue Helms.

He will be remembered with love by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Celebration of life will be held on October 10th, at 10am graveside at Mulberry cemetery.
