Janice Paulette Franklin
Janice Paulette Franklin, 82, of Sarcoxie, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at her residence surrounded by her family.
Janice was born on June 13, 1944, in Miller, Missouri.
She graduated from Missouri Southern State University in Joplin, Missouri with her bachelor’s degree and then she attended UMKC in
Kansas City, Missouri where she received her Law Degree.
She started working as an Attorney at Legal Aid of Western Missouri in February 1984 before retiring in August 2015.
She loved reading books, gardening, flowers, flea markets, and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her son, Paul Bowman (Tina Hendrix) of Sarcoxie, Missouri; two sisters, Sue Parnell (Jimmy Parnell) of Miller, Missouri,
and Mitzi Kilby of Neosho, Missouri; one brother, Rick Cameron (Schyrlet Cameron) of Miller, Missouri; her niece and nephews, Lynn, Jeff,
Joey, Jason, and Amber; four grandchildren, Stephany Bowman, Jesse Kappler (Michelle Rice), Jame Wickham (Zach Wickham), and
Jimmy Kappler; and four great-grandchildren, Jayden, Sage, Corri, and Cameron.
She was preceded by her parents; James William Ernest and Bonnie Ruth Nida Cameron, one son; James Kappler.
Arrangements have been made entrusted to Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery and Crematory, Joplin, Missouri.
