Joe “Butch” Miller
Joe “Butch” Miller, age 80, passed away on April 29, 2026, leaving behind a space that simply can’t be filled—and a whole lot of stories that probably get better every time they’re told.
Born in Hanford, California but living most of his life in Arizona, Butch was cowboy to his core. He didn’t just like the Western way of life—he was the Western way of life. Whether it was his boots, his attitude, or the way he carried himself, you always knew exactly who Butch was: genuine, tough, and just a little bit ornery in the best possible way.
He had a well-known love for Ford trucks—loyal to the brand like it was family—and if you ever rode with him, you probably got there with a story, a laugh, and maybe a little faster than expected.
Butch was, without question, the life of the party. If there was laughter, he was in the middle of it. If there was music, he was probably turning it up. And if there was a dull moment, it didn’t stay dull for long once he showed up. He had a way of bringing people together, making strangers feel like old friends, and reminding everyone not to take life too seriously.
Of all the roles he played in life, the one he carried closest to his heart was being a dad. He is survived by his daughters, Heather and Misty, 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren who meant everything to him. They will forever carry his strength, his spirit, and undoubtedly his stubborn streak.
Butch didn’t just live life—he made sure everyone around him felt it, too. While he may be gone from sight, you can bet he’d want us to keep the stories going, the laughter loud, and the trucks running. And somewhere, you just know he’s still raising a little hell.
