Karen Sue Yarbrough
Karen Sue Yarbrough, 73, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.
Karen was born on December 29, 1952, in Fort Scott, Kansas, to Vernatta and Delmar Clark. She built her life around the things that mattered most, her cat Lucy, family, and creating a warm welcoming home for those she loved.
In 2012, Karen married Glenn Yarbrough Sr, and together they shared years of love, laughter, and companionship.
Karen was a devoted mother to her three children: Meschelle Browning (Brian), Angela Tallman (James), and Greg Sanders. She found her greatest joy in her family, especially in time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had a gift for bringing people together, whether through family gatherings or a home-cooked meal made with love.
Karen is survived by her Husband, Glenn Yarbrough Sr; her children; and her cherished grandchildren: Breanna Hendrix (Reese), Chandlar Hendrix (Addie), Mikel Burkhart (Jessica), Abbigail Reitz (Phillip), Andrew Burkhart (Chantel), Alyssa Tallman (fiancé Fletcher), Jordan Tallman (Maddie), Jaris George, and Cody Pounds (Amanda).
She was also blessed with many beloved great-grandchildren: Deklyn Hendrix, Weston Hendrix, Parker Hendrix, Milena Reitz, Sylar Reitz, Trinity Burkhart, Kynlee Burkhart, Avery Burkhart, Aleeah Millman, Rylee Millman, Baker Lawless, Miller Tallman, Channing Pounds, Asher Pounds, Ada’Mae Pounds and two precious great-grandbabies on the way. And many many close friends who she considered family.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Vernatta and Delmar Clark; her brother, Larry Clark; and her grandson, Zachariah Tallman.
Karen will be remembered for her kindness, her strength, and the deep love she had for her family. Her legacy lives on in the many lives she touched and the family she cherished so dearly.
Honoring Karen’s wishes, her family will hold a private Celebration of Life.
