Wilma “Willie” Mae Everitt

Willie was born April 5, 1936 in Joplin, MO. She left this earth to be with Jesus and loved ones. She went home on January 6, 2026 while being cared for at Joplin Garden.

She lived in Joplin all her life and attended Joplin High Schools. Her father Loyd Tate who preceded her is death owned and operated, Tates 19th Hole where she learned to bartend as a profession. She continued to work in several establishments throughout the years where she became acquainted with new friends from all walks of life. Many of those friends call her, MOM.

Her passion was her family, always making sure they were taken car of, her KC Chiefs, her angel’s and her pets. Willie is preceded in death by her father, Loyd Tate, mother, Schnelle, brothers, Jack Tate & Charlie, sister, Phyllis sutton, daughter, Pamela Wheeler and grandson, Brian Anderson.

Willie is survived by two daughters, Roberta Rose of Joplin, Dawna & Robert Phillip’s of Grove, Oklahoma, 7 grandchildren, Brandon, Steven, Shelby, Kyle, Quintin and Jacob. 6 great-grandchildren, Coleton, Bailey, Kyley, Titan, Chrysta, David, and countless others who called her “Mom”.

A graveside service will be held at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery at 415 N St Louis Ave. in Joplin, MO. on Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at 1:00pm
