Joan “Joni” Lesley Lindquist
Joan “Joni” Lesley Lindquist, beloved sister, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away in Lemoore, California, on October 19, 2025, after a long illness, leaving a void her family cannot fill.
She was born in Joplin, Missouri, on September 13, 1946, to Lex and Hazel Duggar, the oldest of five children. She married Charles Lindquist on January 29, 1970. Joni worked several jobs through the years while following Charlie around the world during his Army career. She was a devoted homemaker who took great joy in caring for her family.
Joni was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, daughter, sister, and aunt. Her family was her pride and joy. She was so very proud of her children, and they always felt the love and support she provided. Joni cherished every moment she could spend with her family and took special joy in caring for them.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Lindquist; her maternal grandparents, Fred and Mary Goad; her parents Lex and Hazel Duggar; and her brother Larry Duggar.
She is survived by her son Jay Wood and his wife Josephine of Lemoore, California; son David Wood and his wife Lisa of Webb City, Missouri; seven grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; brothers Lex Duggar II of Strafford, Missouri; Les Duggar of Joplin, Missouri; sister Delores Owens of Galena, Kansas; and numerous nieces and nephews who will never forget the love and laughter she brought to their lives.
Although Joni traveled all over the world, her heart was always in Missouri. She was a strong believer in “family first” and loved traveling to see her loved ones whenever she could.
