Joseph Allen McCartney

Joseph Allen McCartney was a devoted family man and passionate country music lover who left an indelible mark on those who knew him. Born on April 28, 1952, in Denver, Colorado, Joe spent his life surrounded by loved ones. He was the baby of seven, preceded in death by his parents and siblings, as well as his son Jim McCartney.
Joe is survived by his son Joseph R McCartney and his fiancee Sharon Deadmond of Webb City, Missouri, and his son Christopher Baker, a soldier currently stationed in South Korea. He is also survived by his daughters, Crystal McCartney and her wife Deborah McCartney of Fort Worth, Texas, and Crystal Head and her fiance Rab of Oklahoma City. Joe was a devoted grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather, loved by his family for his kindness and generosity. Joe’s family was his rock, and he cherished every moment with them.
A veteran of the US Marine Corps, Joe served his country with honor. After raising his children in Stephenville, Texas, where he worked as a dairy farmer, Joe lived with his daughter Crystal McCartney and her wife Deborah McCartney in Fort Worth, Texas, for six years. He later relocated to Webb City, Missouri, to live with his son Joseph R McCartney and his fiancee Sharon Deadmond. In his free time, Joe enjoyed fishing, dressing up in his cowboy hat and country attire, and watching old Westerns, particularly those starring John Wayne. He was also an avid fan of the Eagles and old-time country music.
In his final days, Joe was surrounded by his loving family, to whom he was able to say goodbye. He passed away peacefully in his sleep on August 24, 2025, at the age of 73, due to cancer. Joe will be deeply missed by all who knew him, especially his beloved dog Dippy, his loyal companion.
