In Loving Memory of Roseanne Helton (1944–2025)

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Roseanne Helton, age 81, of Panama City, Florida, formerly of Joplin, Missouri, on Sunday, July 13th, 2025. Surrounded by her family, Roseanne peacefully left us after a life well-lived, filled with love, creativity, and an adventurous spirit.

Born in Joplin, Roseanne was the beloved daughter of Clyde and Norma Helton. As their only daughter and the eldest of six brothers—Clyde Jr., Steven, Karl, Ronald, Tony, and Phillip—she was both a leader and a loving sister.

A gifted artist and interior decorator, Roseanne was known for her sharp eye for beauty and design, which she shared with many through her work. Beyond her career, she was a passionate writer, pouring her heart into the many novels she crafted throughout her life. But perhaps above all, Roseanne was a lover of life, constantly seeking new adventures and embracing the world with an open heart.

Her travels took her far and wide, but it was the serene shores of Panama City, Florida that captured her heart. There, she found peace walking along the sugar-white beaches, her feet in the soft sand and the emerald waters before her. It was in these moments of tranquility that Roseanne felt truly at home, her spirit grounded by the beauty of the world around her.

Her legacy is one of warmth, kindness, and unwavering love, qualities that will continue to live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege to know her. Roseanne is survived by her three children: Amanda (Eric) Swarnson, Tanda England-Ray, and Omar (Cara) Carrothers. She was the proud grandmother of seven: Haven (Amy) England, Dustin England, Erica Goodwin, Carly Swarnson, Cody (Angela) Swarnson, Charlotte, and Shannon Carrothers. Roseanne’s love extended to her eight great-grandchildren: Damian, Braston, and Trevor England; Seth and Ava Goodwin; Madison Ryan and Samantha Prince; and her great-grandson, Stetson England.
