JC McKinzie Jr

JC McKinzie Jr passed away peacefully on the morning of Tuesday, July 22nd, 2025 at his home after a brief illness.

JC was born on August 14th, 1960, in Carthage, Missouri, to Jolene and JC Sr. Mckinzie. He graduated from Carthage High School in 1978, where he met the love of his life, Elaine. The two were married in 1980 and recently celebrated 45 beautiful years together as best friends and soul mates.

He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Jolene and JC Sr, both of Carthage Missouri.
JC was deeply loved and leaves behind his devoted wife Elaine McKinzie, his “baby girl” Heather Moore (McKinzie), her husband Kris, who he was proud to call his son, as well as his cherished grandchildren, who he adored and treasured, Kendel and Mia. He is also survived by his three sisters: Tina McKinzie, Michelle Peterson, and Jacee Mckinzie all of whom loved their brother dearly. He was also known to many nieces and nephews as “uncle Jake.”

JC was a devoted and hardworking man who took great pride in providing for his family. He found joy in using his hands, heart and talent to build, craft and create as a goldsmith beautiful art for his family and others. His deep love for classic cars, racing and motorcycles brought him happiness and peace, but nothing compared to the love he had for his family, who were always his world.

JC will be remembered for his ornery spirit, for being a good friend and father, and for his unwavering love for his family. His presence will be missed beyond words, and his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

In accordance with JC’s wishes no services are planned at this time. In addition to flowers, the family kindly asks for donations to be made to: https://www.als.org in JC’s honor

Arrangements are under the direction of Ozark Memorial Park Crematory Joplin, Mo.
