Fred “Wiley” Feken
October 11, 1957 – May 31, 2025
Fred Wiley Feken, better known as “Wiley” to just about everyone, passed away peacefully at home in Waco, Missouri, on May 31, 2025, at the age of 67. Born in Miami, Oklahoma, on October 11, 1957, to Fred and Juanita Feken, Wiley spent most of his life in Waco, where he became a valued fixture of the community.
Wiley was a man of many talents and few words, though he was always ready with a quick joke or an offer to help. After a brief and honorable stint in the military, he made a career as a skilled mechanic, earning a reputation for being able to fix just about anything. Whether it was a car, a tractor, or something he’d cobbled together from spare parts, Wiley had a knack for making things work.
When he wasn’t under the hood of a car, Wiley enjoyed life’s simple pleasures. He loved old Westerns and classic Army shows, cherished quiet nights in his garden, and was a proud collector of anything that caught his eye. He took life as it came and lived it on his own terms.
Wiley is survived by Cindy, his devoted girlfriend of nearly 17 years, who was always by his side. He also leaves behind his son, Brian, wife, Bethany; his grandchildren; his sisters, Ann and Lisa; and a whole bunch of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. He’s now reunited with his parents and his three brothers—Tim, Grant, and Phil—who no doubt welcomed him with open arms.
Wiley’s warmth, wit, and generous spirit touched everyone who knew him. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all the folks who were lucky enough to cross his path.
