James R Lewis D.C.

68 of Joplin, Missouri peacefully passed away on Monday, May 25, 2026 at his home. James was born to the late Marjorie Fox and Robert Lewis on March 1, 1958 in Des Moines, Iowa. Jim was a local Chiropractor in the Joplin area for over 30 years. He is survived by his son Nic Lewis of Pueblo, CO. His sisters Kathy (Jim) McGowan of Marietta, GA, Linda (Keith) Brunsvold Mason City, IA and Mary Jane (Brooks) Worthing of Carlsbad, CA, One nephew Michael McGowan GA several nieces Tara (Brad) Hofer 3 children, IA, Bobbi Jo (Blaine) Perau 2 children of IA and Alycia (Will) Thomsen 3 children also of IA. Bianca Rucireta and Sophia Rucireta both of CA. 

Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday,  June 6, 2026 at One Church 2802 New Hampshire Ave. Joplin, MO.

Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery and Crematory, Joplin.
