Wilma Viola Wilson

Wilma Viola Wilson, 93, of Grove, Oklahoma, passed away on Thursday, February 26, 2026, in Grove, Oklahoma.

Wilma was born on March 25, 1932, in St. Louis, Missouri to William C. and Lillian Bunting Parsons.

She married Herbert Edward Wilson on May 26, 1951, in St. Louis, Missouri, and he preceded in death on July 22, 2020.

Survivors include; three sons, one daughter, five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren; Her legacy were her, Children: (daughter) Deborah Francis, Afton, OK, (grandson) William R Liston, Miami, OK, (great-granddaughter) Stephanie Pounds Liston, Mentor, OH, (great-great-grandchildren) Leah & Ryker, (grandson) Donald Liston, Crossville, TN, (great-grandson) Connor Liston, (granddaughter) DiAnna Wescott & husband Travis Grove, OK, (son) Michael Edward Wilson, Los Angeles, CA, (son) Mark Wilson & wife Marianne St. Louis, MO, (grandson) Max & wife Cara Wilson St. Louis, MO, (great-granddaughter) Sylvia, (son) Don Wilson & Julie Redden, St. Louis, MO, (grandson) Ben & wife Romee Wilson, St. Louis, MO, (great-granddaughter) Ava Wilson, (grandson) Patrick Redden, St. Louis, MO, (Husband’s sister) Jean Hord of Orange City, FL, along with great nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Edward Wilson; and her parents; William C. and Lillian Bunting Parsons, and one grandson; Sam Wilson.

She enjoyed playing Bingo, gin rummy, Mexican train dominos; working crossword puzzles, listening to music, knitting blankets, reading historical fiction stories, and eating chocolate!!

A Memorial Service will be held 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Life Change Outreach Church, 1402 S Michigan Ave, Joplin, MO 64801 Pastor Glenn Pinkerton, and Pastor Jim Marshall will officiate the service. In lieu of flowers, any Memorial Gifts in her name may be sent to the Life Change Outreach Church to continue their ministry serving Christ.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery & Crematory, Joplin, Missouri.
