Alvin Eugene “Gene” Hawkins

Alvin Eugene “Gene” Hawkins, of Sarcoxie Missouri was born on November 24, 1935 in Hartford Kansas and passed away on January 25 of 2026

Jean was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, whose life was marked by love for his family and faithfulness through the years. He has survived by his beloved wife, Lois Hawkins; His daughter Cheryl mettlach (Raymond); his sons, Steven Hawkins (Pam) and Scott Hawkins (Kim); and his brother, Jim Hawkins (Donna). He is also survived by six grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren all of whom were a source of great joy to him.

He was proceeded in death by his son Darrel Hawkins; His parents, John and Arvada Hawkins; And his siblings, Calvin Hawkins, Larry, Hawkins, and Beverly Marbut.

Jean will be remembered for the legacy of family Perseverance and love he leaves behind, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Per Gene’s request, he has been cremated and there will be no services at this time.
