Margerite Eileen Spears

Margerite Eileen Spears (Marg) 96, born February 1, 1929, in Burbank, California to Stanley O. Niblack and Winifred Violet Flora Dawn Niblack passed away December 8, 2025, peacefully in the home.

She had been a resident of Anderson since 1961, relocating from southern California, after a one year stay in Arkansas to her horse farm on Indian Creek.

She was an accomplished violinist, equestrian, and Bible teacher. She loved baseball, hiking in national parks, Yosemite her favorite, camping, swimming, caving and showing Shetlands and Quarter Horses.

She is survived by her three children, Theresa Joy (Terri) Burns of Anderson, Edward Leonard (Ted) Spears of Harrison, AR, and Kerry Durham of Anderson; nine grandchildren, nine step grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Spears and stepchildren, Gilbert Spears, Marty Pearson, and Peggy Whittenborn.

Her memorial service will be held at the Anderson Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses February 14th, 2:00 PM.
