Linda Wells

Linda Wells passed away peacefully at her home on November 4, 2025 in Fort Scott, Kansas. Linda was a beloved wife, sister, mom and Nana, who touched the lives of all who knew her. Linda was born January 19, 1949 and spent many of her childhood in Fort Scott later moving to Overland Park Kansas and working at Sprint telephone company. Later in life, she moved to Parsons Kansas with her husband and recently Fort Scott, Kansas
Left to cherish Linda’s memory is her husband Gene Wells of Fort Scott. Her sisters, Pat Fewell, Kathy McLean, Diana Endicott and brothers John Wilson and Bryan Wilson. Daughters Tabatha Lane and Angie Hall. Step Children William Wells, Pamela Essig and Karen Vance. Nine grandchildren two of whom she helped raise. Primula and Xavier Stonebraker were her world. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews who loved her very much.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenton Wilson and Martha Petrie. A brother Perry Wilson, a sister, Tina Wilson and most of all her beloved son, Matthew Stonebraker whom she is now celebrating with in heaven.
There was cremation and there will be a memorial celebration at a later date.
