Bill Reed entered his eternal rest surrounded by the love of his family and the peace of Jesus Christ. He was a devoted man of faith whose life reflected his love for the Lord in all that he did. Bill’s greatest joys were his walk with Jesus, his sons, and the family he cherished deeply.
Bill’s faith was the foundation of his life. He lived with kindness, humility, and strength—always ready with a word of encouragement and a heart willing to help others. Whether he was sharing stories, lending a hand, or offering prayers, Bill showed God’s love through his actions every single day.
He was a proud father who loved his sons beyond measure and delighted in every moment spent together. Family gatherings, laughter, and simple times meant everything to him. His legacy of love, faith, and perseverance will live on through his family and all who were blessed to know him.
William C Reed, Jr, age 70, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 21st, 2025. He was born January 29, 1955, in Joplin, Missouri, to William Reed, Sr. and Leona (Lake) Brown. It is with deep love and sorrow that we announce the passing of William C. Reed, Jr. He will be remembered for his kindness, strength, and the deep love he shared with his family.
William is survived by his children, Josh Reed (Maria), Jake Reed (Megean), and Chloe Spooner. His legacy continues through his beloved grandchildren: Hunter, Maycee, Keeley, Olivia, Lincoln, Ryder, Kambree, Taigen, and Adelheid, who brought him endless joy and pride.
He also leaves behind his lifelong friend and former spouse, Jan Purscelley, whose friendship and love remained a meaningful part of his life. He is also is survived by his sister Tammy Harris. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Reed and Leona Brown, and his sister, Juanita Reed. William’s life was a testament to love, family, and hard work. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
