Larry Kitch

**January 14, 1949 – August 26, 2025**

Larry D. Kitch, 76, of Girard, Kansas, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2025. He was born on January 14, 1949, to Frank and Ora Lee Kitch.

Larry proudly served his country during the Vietnam War, demonstrating the courage and dedication that would define his character throughout his life.

Larry enjoyed fishing and woodworking in his spare time. He was known for his sense of humor and outgoing nature.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Ora Lee Kitch; his sister, Brenda Collins of Columbus, Kansas; and his brother, Terry Kitch of Columbus.

Larry is survived by his loving family: sister Sue Judy of Grove, Oklahoma, and brother Dave Kitch of Columbus, Kansas. He leaves behind five children: Larry Burns of Jal, New Mexico; Frank Burns of Sherman, Kansas; Deena Kitch of Joplin, Missouri; Kerri Kitch of Springfield, Missouri; and Tammy Crawford of Neosho, Missouri. He also leaves behind five grandsons: CJ Freeman, Cody Freeman, Jordan, Tyler, and Cameron Makovec, as well as ten great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Larry’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him, remembered for his service to his country, his craftsmanship, his love of the outdoors, and most of all, his ability to bring laughter and friendship into every room he entered.
