Emmett William Ingram

Emmett Ingram passed peacefully away on his 62nd birthday at Joplin Health & Rehabilitation Center. He was a husband, father, brother, uncle, Pepaw, and a friend to so many who loved him dearly.

Emmett’s favorite pastime was fishing and camping. He enjoyed gardening, bush hogging and using the zero-turn. He loved building birdhouses and gave many away to family and friends. All of God’s creatures were important to him, so any stray or hurt animal always had a home.

He was especially loved by his community at Joplin Health and Rehabilitation Center. Emmett had a contagious laugh and loved to make people smile.

Emmett William Ingram died on July 29th, 2025, and is the son of the late Cecil Ingram and Johnnie Lou Ingram. He was born in Atlanta, Georgia, on July 29th, 1963.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter Darla Leigh Anne Fox and his son Emmett Charles Ingram. Along with his siblings, Larry Pope, Clara Ann Roberts, and Wanda Lynn Cornett.

Emmett is survived and missed by his wife, Belva Ingram, son William Ingram and wife Terrah, his eight grandchildren, Dartanion, Angelica, Sophia, Arabella, Andreus, Alexander, Lilyanna and Octavia., and his daughter, Iola Belle Southard and her husband Jason. His surviving siblings are Margie Shumate, Richard Ingram, and Cecil Ingram Jr.

A ‘Celebration of Life’ will be held locally on August 14th at Joplin Health and Rehabilitation Center, and another ‘Celebration of Life’ will be held for his Georgia family and friends in the early fall.
