Jerry Randall Gibby
Well apparently I died…..
Jerry Randall Gibby, I was born Feb. 3, 1955, I share that birthday with my great niece, Rhylynn Hataway. She is 11 not 70…her and her sister Aliya also my great-niece always made a point to stop by and give me a hug and say, “I Love You.” I always looked forward to seeing them.
I was born to Johnnie and Laverta Gibby at St John’s Hospital in Joplin, MO. Mom and Dad preceded me in death, along with my older brothers, Johnnie (Rusty) Gibby and Jeffrey, Roger Gibby AKA (Captain Cave Man) and my little sister Callie May Gibby. I leave behind 2 brothers, James R Gibby, Bennie A Gibby, sister, Mariann C Ripley. (Chris) I have many, many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews. I was the fourth child born, so I had lots of help growing up and being onrey. I got my wings on Friday night 6/20/2025 at 8:28 at home in Webb City, MO. My granddaughter, Kelsey was by my side until I got my wings that night, along with many family members by my side.
I worked for the railroad cleaning up train wrecks for several years. There was a lot of traveling involved so needless to say, I saw a lot of country. I then worked at Tamko for several years and finally retired from Cardinal Scales in Webb City. I graduated from Webb City High School. Soon after that I married a beautiful girl, Taunya Perry. We had a son together, Jay Gibby. We made a lot of great memories and then divorced later on.
I leave behind a son, Jerry Randall Gibby Jr, (Jay), granddaughter, Kelsey Gibby, grandson, Jason Gibby. Don’t cry because I’m gone, rejoice that I made it here in heaven and I’m here with family that I haven’t seen for so long. Live your best life and I’ll see you all again one day.
