Cynthia Ann Digman

April 26, 1956 – June 23, 2025

Cynthia Ann Digman passed away peacefully at home in the early morning hours of June 23, 2025,
surrounded by her loving family. She was 69 years old.

Born at North Glendale Hospital in Glendale, California at 4:48 a.m. on April 26, 1956, Cynthia was
the beloved daughter of Cleva Patricia “Pat” Tumlin and Gilbert Rodriguez. Though California was
her birthplace, Cynthia’s journey as a devoted military wife took her across the country and
overseas-from Colorado and Wisconsin to Neu Ulm and Ulm, West Germany-before she and her
family ultimately settled in Joplin, Missouri.

Cynthia was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Michael, and her sister Theresa. She is
survived by her loving husband, Thomas Digman; her children: Chad Rodriguez of Joplin, Brandon
Digman of Springfield, and Jackie Baker of Joplin; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren;
and her sisters Linda, Ramona, Maria, and Lisa.

Cynthia had a rich and creative life, with music as her constant companion. A lifelong guitar picker
and singer, her voice and melodies were the soundtrack of many cherished moments. She also
pursued photography with passion, completing courses at the New York Institute of Photography
and running a recreational photo lab for the U.S. Army. There, she taught soldiers and their families
how to capture, develop, and preserve their memories.

Her hands were always busy with something beautiful-whether it was sewing, knitting, crocheting, or
oil painting. Cynthia’s creativity and curiosity were matched only by her determination. She had a
remarkable ability to figure things out, no matter the challenge, and she faced life with fierce
strength, wit, and ingenuity.

She will be remembered as a proud military wife, a nurturing mother and grandmother, a loyal sister,
and a caring friend. A celebration of Cynthia’s life will be held at First Presbyterian Church in Webb City on July 12, 2025 at 1:00 pm
